“My new single, the second movement of Vivaldi's Concerto in D major (from his L'estro armonico series - RV230, and originally written for violin), is something I've played more than anything else on the piccolo trumpet. This recording session brought new discoveries, especially working with Trevor, whose deep understanding of the piece allowed us to explore its nuances.
Vivaldi’s music remains both accomplished and accessible, with lines that are romantic, virtuosic, and deeply satisfying to play and listen to. It feels like it's open for new interpretation all the time, and I hope you enjoy ours - out today. “
